I am a passionate and versatile professional, proud to be what I would consider a modern-day jack of all trades within the technology industry. I have extensive experience in various domains, ranging from general managed IT services, network administration/implementation, and SaaS administration to general web development, Python, project management, inside sales, account management, and day-to-day help desk work. I enjoy the challenges each facet brings and try my best to improve processes and learn new things along the way.
A few things: I really enjoy croissants, I named the initial project/repo for this site 'croissant', and I was given the nickname croissant while I was mentoring a robotics team in highschool. The croissant also provides some much needed character to the upper left corner of this site.
Self hosting is a huge one. I recently moved all my files, photos, calendars, and contacts off of Google/Apple to a custom built server. It's been a fantastic learning experience for both server and networking knowledge and it feels good to host my own software. Other than that, I've gotten pretty deep into the whole coffee thing over the past few years. Started with pour overs, graduated to making cold brew, got lazy and started buying coffee everyday, made some friends along the way, and now I make espresso at home almost every morning. I also enjoy climbing - it's a great time.
I have a strong working knowledge of Python, Git, GitHub Actions, Azure Functions and related Infrastructure, JS, HTML, and CSS. Additionally, I am highly capable in any tech support/managed IT services environment that requires Azure/M365 Administration, Network Administration, Server Administration, or General Technical Support. In that same vein, I've picked up a good amount of knowledge and wisdom on retail specific technology and deployments. I can manage projects, manage accounts, and provide consulting as well. Separately, I think I can make fairly decent espresso now.
